00:00:50: listen we are going To Get Into Things That We Think Are True Right And Also Some Mistakes.

00:00:59: To Avoid Good Good And Those Things.

00:01:04: If You get Them right?

00:01:06: You Will Have A Great Relationship And Amazing Results With Your Hair Colorist Right.

00:01:12: And this brings me right to my very first

00:01:16: question

00:01:16: for you Leslie, because trust.

00:01:21: Trust is really important when it comes to client

00:01:25: hair dresser relationships.

00:01:29: but with trust comes honesty or the other way around.

00:01:34: Honesty comes first and then comes the trust.

00:01:37: why?

00:01:37: Is it

00:01:37: so incredibly important to be absolutely honest with your hairdresser, especially when it comes

00:01:47: to colour.

00:01:48: I mean first of all... When you have that trust in your hairdressers or if my client has trusted me.. ..I normally have a client for life because once you've done a really great job You're gonna go back to the hair dresser and listen their advice take there learnings on board.

00:02:11: but First of all, I need to have trust in the client or the model.

00:02:17: Or whoever's sat in front me and being honest about your hair is The only way forward.

00:02:26: because if you're not honest About the fabric of your hair what's going on with your hair?

00:02:30: Mm-hmm You could end up in a very very tight spot.

00:02:36: an example If you have...if i have somebody that got naturally black hair okay so And she, and I say have you ever had it coloured?

00:02:48: She says no.

00:02:49: Now this has happened before that.

00:02:50: in fact This is happen quite a few times.

00:02:52: but if i'm physically there... ...I can see.

00:02:55: because only Because of being taught how to see colour even If It's black on Black I Can See the difference I can see it.

00:03:03: But if You're Doing A Zoom Casting You Can't Always See That.

00:03:08: So If That Person Is Not Truthful With Me and I'm gonna do a big change when she comes to sit, or he or they come to sit in front of me.

00:03:21: In a tight spot because I cannot reach the perfect colour because you've got black tint on your hair for example.

00:03:29: Quite a few years ago we created a line just for blondes but it was like world of blondes.

00:03:36: And um...I couldn't do this casting.

00:03:42: Now, somebody else did it and I wouldn't say who it was anyway.

00:03:45: And they'd said... So you're the one?

00:03:48: I probably won't know them but-

00:03:50: The thought alone

00:03:53: that I knew their name there would be so much fun!

00:03:56: Okay anyways we are not naming

00:03:57: any names.

00:03:58: We aren't naming a shame in spy or whatever.

00:04:00: No definitely never ever Never Yeah Um..and i think It's learning curve for that person.

00:04:05: But what had happened is That person had believed the model.

00:04:09: no I've never had it colored which that model had.

00:04:13: had it coloured, she'd had it bleached let's say bleached and then her black tint put on top.

00:04:18: And I've gone in to make a hair platinum from roots-to-ends To show off this amazing new product.

00:04:25: Oh no!

00:04:26: As soon as i start thinking are you sure you never have anything?

00:04:30: You know...I only got like half of the day to do a bleach Which is not long.

00:04:36: You know..to me

00:04:37: they sound super long.

00:04:38: Half a Day.

00:04:40: This took eight

00:04:42: hours and it was a perfect platinum, but if I say so myself.

00:04:47: It wasn't perfect.

00:04:49: Flawless!

00:04:57: Okay...

00:04:58: But its because....I thought oh my god what am i going to do here?

00:05:02: And I knew whats to do.

00:05:02: So thankfully had she tried to bleach her own hair she would have had red hair, orange hair and yellow hair.

00:05:17: And it would've been atrocious all the same time because a lot of people think oh I got brown on my hair so you know what to be?

00:05:25: A light golden blonde.

00:05:29: Well if this is natural hair and put like gold and blond You will get like golden blond but this hair that's tinted Tint is on the hair.

00:05:38: Once you've got tinted, that's it!

00:05:40: You cannot lift coloured hair with tint previously.

00:05:46: You can go in and start using bleach to lift it up but thats a different kettle of fish altogether.

00:05:54: Bleaching tinted hair is really a road where you don't necessarily want to go down unless its for job or... a campaign or something, you can do it sort of much more over slower period time and use color removers and gently lift up.

00:06:15: Great!

00:06:17: But if you've lied to somebody and said no I never had it colored this is my natural colour... No You're really stuck.

00:06:25: And then that means whoever does the color will be in such a state and stress and terrible situation.

00:06:35: You've spent four hours, five hour six hours having your hair done and it's not going to be perfect.

00:06:40: You know you then spend all this money...you've spent time out of your life having the stunt..and its' not gonna be perfect because physically technically is not possible without a lot of bleaching!

00:06:53: Okay

00:06:54: question how long

00:06:56: back

00:06:58: do I need to be honest about?

00:07:00: Now if you think And you have a bob to the shoulders.

00:07:07: That's like almost three years' growth for some people, that is only two years of growth and others four because everybody has their own growth pattern.

00:07:18: Some are slower or faster but last longer.

00:07:22: so when we see those clients with very long down-to-their waist hair they have a longer growth pattern than say me my natural hair will grow past just like the armpit.

00:07:35: That's a nice technical word, isn't it?

00:07:37: The armpit...

00:07:38: But I know where

00:07:40: it is!

00:07:42: And so you need to be honest for good four years.

00:07:46: because again if you imagine my hair was down to my chest and i'm saying oh no i haven't had color but in my head on thinking well no i hadn't had colour i haven' t had it coloured for two Gotcha.

00:08:03: So you really, but then again that's the hairdresser that needs to be like now.

00:08:08: when you say you've never had it coloured do you mean in the last few years or?

00:08:13: Do you mean In The Last Six Years?

00:08:17: I think some clients don't consider something

00:08:21: permanent

00:08:22: or lasting.

00:08:24: so my hair dresser was telling me about this.

00:08:26: one client she has.

00:08:30: They come in and they swear up-and down, they haven't used anything while having used like a kind of like a bleaching spray.

00:08:37: But because

00:08:38: it doesn't seem like color to them

00:08:40: absolutely never

00:08:41: bring it up.

00:08:41: And she's like I can see yet but iIcanseeit if itsinmyheadiCanSeeYou've

00:08:47: Changed

00:08:47: the Color cuz I Can See The Regrowth!

00:08:51: You know what?

00:08:52: So yeah

00:08:55: When Im doing Castings Through A Screen I have a thing that, say when was the last time you had your hair coloured?

00:09:02: Because then i'm just making sure they know.

00:09:06: That if somebody in front of me can normally see and it's like...I mean we did consultations in our previous podcast but again It is something every hairdresser does for a few split seconds.

00:09:20: They do a diagnostic so im looking at their hair the client, but I'm looking at that.

00:09:27: The hair strand, the diet diameter, the density what she wants, what's on their head already?

00:09:35: But it's like an automatic thing and sometimes I think I wonder whether we should actually when we do a consultation say now i'm going to do like a diagnostic on you because he kind of You know, I think as a hairdresser We get so used too To doing this that I think actually for Clients, I think it's quite nice to know what we're doing.

00:09:56: Right?

00:09:57: It is because also it takes away...I mean that would be super helpful because here's the thing-it's the same way sometimes when you go to a doctor and like..we should tell them about how many times we drink alcohol for instance.

00:10:15: this might be bad example cause i don't even drink like that.

00:10:18: okay but yeah like really honest and then you kind of cheat.

00:10:24: so just so you don't look that bad.

00:10:26: And I think it's the same thing with a hairdresser,

00:10:29: right?

00:10:30: Am i going to be honest about this?

00:10:32: but because you kinda feel very self-conscious about certain things do

00:10:37: know what I mean totally.

00:10:38: But I would say The main thing is Be Honest Really really be honest, because

00:10:42: it'll cost you more than just your hair health.

00:10:44: It will cost you actually

00:10:46: money but also how you feel about yourself?

00:10:48: Because if you're walking around with hair color that you don't like then not going to feel so great about yourself You can have go back into the salon.

00:10:56: That's more time and more money.

00:10:59: Be honest from up front.

00:11:01: So I may or might not asking this for a friend.

00:11:05: right But there is thing comes with aging And we all love ageing.

00:11:11: It's a blessing, every day is a blessing.

00:11:15: But

00:11:17: you know maybe me personally as well but I feel like my grace are coming in at a rate that it kind of really frustrating and annoying to.

00:11:34: So is that, am I crazy about this?

00:11:37: or what does the thing here?

00:11:39: Not at all.

00:11:40: And I feel your pain because my hair naturally falls in a parting and you know literally after two weeks i see a white line.

00:11:49: so I feel it!

00:11:51: The thing when those white ones come through its not necessarily getting more and more, not necessarily because it's a way that your brain recognises colour.

00:12:04: So you know every single time we open our eyes out... Our brain is recognising thousands of tones & colours & depths & tones, tiny nuances in different colours.

00:12:17: And everytime we open up our eyes.. Our brain subconsciously notice yellow first.

00:12:24: I mean its not like Oh, yellow and then other colours.

00:12:26: It's subconscious but because yellow is obviously lighter.

00:12:32: that is why we can play with blondes.

00:12:34: I mean i'm digressing a little bit... But grey hair or No such thing as gray hair.

00:12:41: It's white hair, it just depends what color you have next to it and it reflects the dark grey or light grey or silver.

00:12:47: White hair feels so intact?

00:12:49: White hair sounds so harsh!

00:12:52: You're like no

00:12:53: ma'am!

00:12:53: Oh does a beautiful angel white

00:12:55: hair!

00:12:56: Like.

00:12:57: I'm not gonna say its grey because that sound is getting there but white hair just sounds flat out

00:13:03: old.

00:13:04: But okay fine fine fine Okay we'll say great But technically Right, but it's because the brain subconsciously is seeing that first.

00:13:14: And especially if you've got darker hair like mine is darker.

00:13:18: what are going to see right next?

00:13:20: dark?

00:13:21: White!

00:13:21: White is gonna scream out at you.

00:13:24: so thats why really its kind of in your face.

00:13:27: and I think also we're indoctrinated by white hairs not being seen or covered up trend that came in, like back in two thousand five when they were like designers showcasing gray head silverhead and white-haired and sort of pepper models down the catwalk.

00:13:49: And from that kind has springboard this idea women being proud to be silver and grey.

00:13:57: again I digest but there is wonderful power.

00:14:00: not i'm ready for it.

00:14:02: Not

00:14:02: that

00:14:05: I'm ready for it.

00:14:06: No, what?

00:14:07: What are you talking

00:14:09: about?

00:14:10: Remember when we did the brand shoot of this particular product which is covering grey and in a big meeting before choosing these models... A sea of beautiful women, all different ages and variants of silver and white and salt-and-pepper.

00:14:36: It's so glamorous!

00:14:39: I went to the loo came back and was like everybody just stop i'm growing my hair out i'm gonna go grey.

00:14:44: it's so gorgeous.

00:14:45: how

00:14:45: long did that last?

00:14:47: Oh not more than a couple weeks.

00:14:48: you know me.

00:14:49: The regrows came through and I liked no no let's cover up.

00:14:57: And that issue is gray blending

00:14:58: a thing.

00:14:59: Gray blending, it's a huge thing!

00:15:01: There's a beautiful way to transition somebody who has got those first grey hairs.

00:15:08: Beautiful ways of adding some lowlights out in the few foils and highlights.

00:15:14: so you get that beautiful myriad different tones running through but not necessarily hiding those white hairs, but like you say your blending.

00:15:24: When is it too late to gray blend?

00:15:28: Honestly I don't think its ever too later grey blend.

00:15:31: I mean truly even if somebody came in and had a whole head of white salt & pepper i could still gray blend.

00:15:40: okay You know um... In fact yeah..I have quite a lot men that do that technique where I literally do a Comon Technique what we call it flying colors, which came from flying colours.

00:15:56: Which is actually kind of a you know every hairdresser all over the globe would know flying colours because It's a technique that you comb color on shorter hair.

00:16:04: but he was created by particular hairdresser back in the seventies way before I Was born.

00:16:12: But yeah wasn't?

00:16:13: I wasn't a hairdresser at point.

00:16:15: his name as Christian Gardner Who?

00:16:18: Is the same guy who first mentored me and turned my world into wanting to be a colourist.

00:16:25: He was on a show and he was backstage, and he accidentally just threw some color... And it went like that!

00:16:37: I think he's been a bit flamboyant….

00:16:39: I wasn't there so i can't say but this color landed onto the model that technique to flying colors, which is an everyday technique.

00:16:52: Just an every day technique now at this

00:16:53: point.

00:16:54: Wow!

00:16:54: That's also a great origin story.

00:16:56: I must say oh it was just like playing.

00:16:58: yeah that's amazing.

00:17:01: but you just mentioned something and uh i don't want to just gloss over them.

00:17:07: well done well done

00:17:09: But You just mention highlights in lowlights.

00:17:11: yes

00:17:12: what's the difference?

00:17:14: technically there's no difference because a highlight and low light is basically picking up some hair, placing it into foil.

00:17:22: Whether that's strand lights baby lights thick weaves slices It's all foil.

00:17:30: the differences are highlighted lighter than color you're working on.

00:17:35: A lowlight would be darker then the colour.

00:17:37: so a highlight like a light brown would be blonde But on me, it could be something else.

00:17:48: So a low light would be something

00:17:50: other than whatever you have in your head.

00:17:52: OK

00:17:53: so foil?

00:17:55: You just mentioned that's also a technique thing for oil.

00:17:59: but then we also have ombre and balayage which are also highlights.

00:18:06: I want to say, what's the difference between those?

00:18:09: The

00:18:09: difference.

00:18:10: Just feel myself playing like that... It is so tactile!

00:18:13: I can't stop myself playing

00:18:14: with it!

00:18:15: And we have so many different textures here as well.

00:18:17: because this is different.

00:18:18: and for those listening—the chairs that were sitting on are very different from the table that was in front of us —from the carpet that we're walking from whatever is covering the walls.

00:18:30: It's just like so many different textures and it almost feels like we did something with hair, its'almost a play on hair... Almost!

00:18:37: Okay.

00:18:38: so ombre balayage in foil.

00:18:43: Technique wise ombre is to tell you how I love a little bit of history The history that really started The two thousand and five crash, the big one that started off in

00:19:01: U.S.,

00:19:03: when the kids... In the West Coast couldn't afford to go to salons were growing their hair out.

00:19:11: cool kids really cool kids.

00:19:13: And they started of with the ombre and dip dye.

00:19:18: That was just an organic thing.

00:19:20: It happened organically.

00:19:22: From that you had all those kind of very cool celebrity stylists, who were looking for the new looks.

00:19:28: Saw this as a trend and took it back to their celebs.

00:19:34: they put on red carpet which became more coutured so it become a softer blend, a softer ombre.

00:19:43: So does not just

00:19:44: grow

00:19:44: out?

00:19:45: No!

00:19:46: It becomes an actual technique from ombre Balléage, which of course Balléages have been around since the seventies in France but not really.

00:19:54: Not really anywhere else?

00:19:56: But can you explain to me because I feel like we throw this term around so much... The difference?

00:20:01: No!

00:20:01: Because i don't fully understand Balayage.

00:20:05: if im gonna be deadly honest Like You know sometimes you kinda go like Oh yeah Balayanage You just play along But I dont' really know how it works..I

00:20:14: mean that's a normal thing covers so many different looks now.

00:20:21: True balayage is stroke-on color, basically that translates to kind of stroking on of colour.

00:20:28: So it's totally freehand.

00:20:31: true Balayage Is Totally Freehand and its painstaking It can be depends what how much you want to do but it's very Very artistic And it really needs a very good eye To do it perfectly.

00:20:45: with free hand you now get a real kind of mix between foliage and balayage.

00:20:53: So did you just say

00:20:54: foiliage?

00:20:55: Foiliage is normally mixed with balayages, so you have some foils And maybe the foils are taken up to the roots Some of the foiles they're taking from their last third Third at the head down and then you do that the Balayage as well.

00:21:11: You have a really bespoke service done for every single client is sort of unique for that person.

00:21:19: So true balayage, it's co-mom.

00:21:21: you've got foiliage which is normally a mix of sunfoils and balayages.

00:21:28: Ombre is normally mixed with some foils then painting the hair being left out.

00:21:35: so we create more no colour from roots blending to all coloured on the very

00:21:45: ends.

00:21:45: Gotcha!

00:21:46: That's true.

00:21:47: ombre and then dipped ends is really a kind of straight line that could look like it's totally grown out.

00:21:53: but now creatively we now paint that line in so it's really, really either very, very crisp you know down the bottom or you kind of break it up.

00:22:02: so looks little bit more kind of lived-in

00:22:04: with those techniques?

00:22:05: Is there one that you prefer that you just really enjoy doing?

00:22:09: and tested, I can do this in my sleep.

00:22:17: And I also enjoy doing it!

00:22:19: Oh...I love foiling.

00:22:24: Again there's a real artistry to foiling and being able understand again exactly what that person in front of me needs whether i do baby lights here?

00:22:36: Whether I mix it with some stronger lights so for being able to give somebody the best colour for them.

00:22:46: And I, love foiling so much because i feel like there's a lot of patience involved and i love the idea that very first foil needs to be as perfect as the very last foil.

00:22:59: you know whether that is perfectly.

00:23:02: when i go tch-tch... i mean very fine little pickups with the pin comb or whether it's big fat pieces that i'm picking up.

00:23:12: There is still a sense of patience because you need to understand exactly where that color's going.

00:23:18: and why am I placing it there?

00:23:20: Not, oh i'm gonna do baby lights here on fat pieces.

00:23:23: Here in slices they're... You know there has to be kind of reason behind it before we keep going.

00:23:28: So what are baby lights or what are slices?

00:23:31: I do understand the big chunks but what are?

00:23:33: what are Baby foils and what are no baby lights

00:23:36: and

00:23:37: slices?

00:23:38: so baby light says each piece of hair that I pick up, then we very fine pieces.

00:23:46: Then put the foil underneath and colour those very fine parts.

00:23:50: That's a really beautiful way to create an illusion of naturally lighter hair depending on what color you're

00:23:57: doing.

00:23:58: Baby lights!

00:24:00: Because they are so baby fine?

00:24:05: you're kind of emulating real hair.

00:24:07: Gotcha!

00:24:08: You know, that multi-dimensional gorgeous natural hair?

00:24:12: Slices.

00:24:13: Now slices is a different thing altogether.

00:24:15: That's when you want to build up colour and as slice literally take one piece of hair And then you can imagine big pieces of colour going in Then really need to understand how it's placed at what angle because if on a diagonal, you get something totally different from placing it on the horizontal.

00:24:38: It's really that nuanced...

00:24:41: You're like three-dimensional thinking

00:24:42: that you need to have.

00:24:44: Okay?

00:24:45: You lost me there!

00:24:46: No no I don't want

00:24:47: to lose you all good.

00:24:49: In my head.

00:24:49: can i be honest with you in my head and say okay I'm basically your hairdresser until.

00:25:00: But also this is the delusional me that kind of goes like, yeah I could do what Leslie does.

00:25:05: Of course i can!

00:25:07: How hard can it be?

00:25:08: You know how hard can It Be?

00:25:10: turns

00:25:11: out a few times.

00:25:11: Turns out

00:25:12: really hard you know...it Can't be Really Hard okay um so..I have looked at pictures and I feel Like This Is What I want right.

00:25:27: And then I come into The Salon and you Kind of go like Yeah, I see what you were trying to do.

00:25:34: But

00:25:35: this is not going to work with your skin tone and they go like but What do you mean?

00:25:38: I liked that color And You said to me there's a right hair colour for every skin tone.

00:25:45: Absolutely

00:25:46: How Do

00:25:46: i pick and choose That?

00:25:47: So um There Is.

00:25:50: so there Is A blonde For Every Skin Tone.

00:25:52: There Is A red For Every skin tone.

00:25:54: There Was A copper For Every Skintone And It'S Whether You Know.

00:25:59: Like If You've Got a pinky skin, then you really suit those slightly more... If we've got pinkie-skin and dark hair let's say.

00:26:09: Then you suit more of those kind of jewellery cherries and these very vibrant tones.

00:26:16: it looks amazing!

00:26:19: Coppers?

00:26:20: You need to go with a cooler tone copper so your still going into the cool tone as soon.

00:26:26: orangey or copper, copper on pinky skin.

00:26:30: It really exaggerates.

00:26:32: this pinkie pigment is not good but like I said you know if somebody really wants copper again You can place it But as long as it's not right against the skin.

00:26:42: So if you're doing something really creative and you want to play up On a colorful look then still go for it but do Something redder around the hairline.

00:26:51: mm-hmm

00:26:52: our blondes harder to achieve than reds.

00:26:58: I would say blonde is the most difficult colour for people to achieve because you are lightening their hair, any time that your going lighter then got some.

00:27:11: think about what's going on underneath?

00:27:14: You know What Is Your Natural Undertone.

00:27:18: So if I, you know...I can tell with your beautiful warm skin.

00:27:21: You're gonna have like a sort of copper undertone.

00:27:25: so i need to think about that before even start mixing up anything that's blonde.

00:27:32: There is technology came around ten years ago and this technology has literally changed how hairdressers colour hair incredible.

00:27:48: It's truly like the best insurance for having your hair done and in blondes, particularly because it is a way of this technology is mind-blowing.

00:27:58: its called Bond Enforcing.

00:28:00: so basically you know keeps that inner workings on each strand of hair tightened together In layman terms Basically And That has made much easier For us to take somebody with black hair To blonde and keeping the integrity of their hair, keep in that beautiful malability to.

00:28:21: they're here because about technology.

00:28:24: But still you really need be able to... Really understand how bonding or let's say bleaching- How it works?

00:28:33: Because its very different from tinting & colouring Two totally different technologies And two totally different ways for them is behaving.

00:28:45: You really need to understand scientifically what's going on with the hair.

00:28:49: If you want to get deeper into that, do not worry.

00:29:06: so We settled For The Perfect Blonde.

00:29:10: I love It.

00:29:12: i'm over-the-moon your happy I'm happy.

00:29:16: I walk out, go home

00:29:18: and wake up...I

00:29:19: hate it!

00:29:21: What

00:29:22: happened?

00:29:25: A lot of the time what happens is again this something that i also say you've got to remember.

00:29:32: even though you wanted this blonde we have talked through with agreed this is a tone thats going be perfect on you.

00:29:40: This how its gonna work.

00:29:43: You still had all this time with this dark around your face.

00:29:47: And

00:29:48: you're brain is so used to seeing a certain look on you that when you suddenly look and it's always the next morning, because its in your light normally your bathroom or bedroom.

00:30:05: but what do I say?

00:30:08: Take that mirror go outside have Your brain normally sees that dark hair, whatever it is every single morning.

00:30:20: And when you clean your teeth and look up and think oh my goodness what's happened there?

00:30:26: Forget that let go count to ten.

00:30:31: Go outside have a look at your head because lighting plays huge part in what the colour looks like Now something which can be seen on social media particularly as a hairdresser, if you look at other hair stories.

00:30:47: You can see a big difference between different lighting.

00:30:51: so it's hugely important that again I've communicated to you before you go home...before you wake up thinking oh my god i hate my hair.

00:30:59: and also you gotta be aware of the people around you maybe through jealousy because they're looking fabulous!

00:31:09: They'll say what have you done with your hair?

00:31:11: It is jealousy darling!

00:31:15: Got you girl.

00:31:16: You

00:31:17: have been clocked, but yeah But your actually right?

00:31:20: Right even though it might just be a genuine Expression of surprise like oh right then you take the heart and start feeling self-conscious.

00:31:30: Then you started doubting decisions because that may happen to me too.

00:31:36: It's big

00:31:39: deal with blondes.

00:31:43: understand that different times of the year, you need to be doing different things.

00:31:46: So in the winter and I'm talking about like Northern Europe really... In the Winter our sky is flatter and cooler.

00:31:55: it's not that warm golden light that we have at them-in the summer That why

00:31:59: all looks sick in Winter

00:32:00: Absolutely Which is why you must Have a slightly different tone.

00:32:06: even if you want platinum blonde hair in the winter have a very, very slight bit of champagne added to that tone.

00:32:15: It will still be that beautiful kind of cold blonde that you want but it will have a shimmer of an iridescence underneath there and it's that very hint or something slightly minutely warmer that gives it more life Alive again under a cold winter sun.

00:33:17: very lucky that i was one of the last two to be trained by her incredible.

00:33:26: She is credited for creating foil highlights.

00:33:29: So why we all use foil highlights is down to Annie Humphries?

00:33:37: I had a couple people who have Tony LeBeau whose another unbelievable... Anyway, so I managed…I was the first assistant like blowing my own trumpet now but as an assistant go on and do assists You know.

00:33:50: And she said right We need to colour this bright red.

00:33:55: and we've got our model over there bright orange really strong cutlets.

00:33:59: And we were prepping in this Bilbao, very old like little salon and their trolleys where static there was no wheels.

00:34:10: so you had to lift it up turn around come round the other side.

00:34:15: I'd done all one-side red lengths.

00:34:20: We have a colour here on different way.

00:34:21: back then You did the length of the routes And

00:34:25: because the color develops faster, yeah.

00:34:27: Closer to the root

00:34:29: right?

00:34:29: Because of your hair it's near that here in the scalp et cetera.

00:34:32: very good I see you could do my job!

00:34:35: See i'm back to being delusional.

00:34:37: It goes really quick with me.

00:34:41: Noi got it!

00:34:44: Anyway so this girl was having bright copper and The two bowls were on the same trolley and I picked up when i was colouring that the roots from one side bright orange against a deep, bright red.

00:35:02: That...I mean..i'm so beyond terrified you know for Annie Humphries as well.

00:35:07: but um....so THAT!

00:35:09: You got the balls mixed up?

00:35:11: Yes!!

00:35:12: And you had one red

00:35:13: and one

00:35:13: orange??

00:35:14: I have red next to me and As I turned it round and put over here The copper was next to me.

00:35:20: You see, it was awful!

00:35:21: In those days there's a different product.

00:35:23: you couldn't really see when they'd just been mixed up.

00:35:25: Now do you know?

00:35:28: Yes I put on and then by the time i put my roots in at the very end... ...I could tell that the roots were not the colour should be.

00:35:38: Oh god even now I remember that sick feeling.

00:35:42: I have gone wrong.
