00:00:04: Gossip Curl, the podcast about all things hair.
00:00:24: girls, we will detangle a few myths and rumors that are out there.
00:00:29: And I'm not going to do it by myself.
00:00:31: he is back please.
00:00:32: welcome Nick Erwin!
00:00:34: Hey how
00:00:34: you doing?
00:00:35: How ya doin'?
00:00:35: Very good i am very excited to be back again once.
00:00:42: I'm always excited to talk to you, first of all.
00:00:44: I wanna get this out there and am always excited but this episode does hit home in a different way because we will talk about curls And as you can see-
00:00:53: You have beautifully curly hair!
00:00:55: As you could see on one of those curly girlies We'll talk about it In a second Because going into the salon for A lot of Curly Women Out There has been a very traumatic experience, right?
00:01:15: Because you can sometimes and it really doesn't matter where on the spectrum of curls that we're gonna talk about in a second.
00:01:23: You are people see you walk-in And they kind like some of them just panic.
00:01:28: It's flat out panicked.
00:01:29: They were like you want what.
00:01:30: yeah Excuse me What now why is That?
00:01:34: well I think it boils down to training as a hairdresser.
00:01:39: i think When you're trained out to cut hair, and hair that's probably straighter or maybe more wavier.
00:01:48: You cut everything when the hair is wet And all their hair is deep shampooed there and they are dampened.
00:01:54: then you get trained how to cut it technically With curl.
00:02:01: again It depends on the level of curl what type of curl you have.
00:02:05: but I think you have do understand that the response of the curl as it starts to dry is a very different result.
00:02:15: You're not stretching the elasticity out their hair like you are when blowing your hair out and so, its'a very different way working.
00:02:25: I think thats where alot of hairdressers would cut curly hair in a disciplined.
00:02:31: similar way.
00:02:31: straight hair end up with hot water when they come to let the hair dry and it does something completely different than what you should do.
00:02:38: Right, this is where texture comes in because... In my family right there are four people three of us have curly hair And with the three of use we had five different curl patterns.
00:02:54: like lets take my hair for instance its a lot looser towards here my nape area.
00:03:01: It gets a little bit tighter on the top of my head, right?
00:03:06: So curls are a spectrum.
00:03:11: From where to where does the spectrum go?
00:03:14: Well it's interesting because again this really boils down too and we're in a very beautiful time in the world because we talked about before coming here today how if you look at different ethnicities across curl you know cross-pollinated across the world with as we've migrated in different parts of the world.
00:03:40: so textures have hair is So diverse.
00:03:43: It's so individual and I think it's a really special, it's beautiful thing.
00:03:48: i come across The most incredible looking here On on a weekly basis to see an idea that I feel I'm learning about all the time because I'm seeing for That type of texture for the first time.
00:04:00: I think you've got to remember two fundamental things with coal.
00:04:03: If your hair is naturally curly, it forms an escul.
00:04:09: The minute we go into what we call coil or texture of the word afro which sometimes can be maybe not always a correct word for textured hair but would say coily or textured a Z, like a zigzag if you'd like.
00:04:33: The S-curl tends to be more easy to create shine and condition because your natural oil can come through from the scalp into the hair shaft and nourish their hair as they become tighter much more coily almost really strong texture.
00:04:54: then it tends to get drier because the oil can't get through and that's where obviously, well I'm sure we'll get into this in a second about the regime of that hair.
00:05:04: So it's...the shape of the individual hair is what keeps the oil from traveling down the shaft
00:05:13: right?
00:05:14: But that texture or that shape of the individual hair is also what probably makes it a bit more challenging, or time-consuming to detangle.
00:05:25: Yes
00:05:25: Right?
00:05:26: Because that shape will tangle a lot easier.
00:05:30: That's
00:05:30: right
00:05:30: Right.
00:05:31: So detangling is a process that we should take, like spend a lot of time on?
00:05:37: Absolutely!
00:05:38: How long would you say it takes at the tangle and would ever?
00:05:41: when Is It The Right Time To Detangle?
00:05:44: Well
00:05:44: again I think You See All Of These And I Love Watching Instagram And TikTok And My Daughter Shows Me These Videos And You See How Girls Do Things.
00:05:52: But If You Really Want to Protect Her And Look After She Should Never Be Trying detangle the hair when their hair is dry, never use a comb.
00:06:03: You should use it very soft.
00:06:06: if you're trying to get something out... It depends again on the level of coil or curl you have.
00:06:12: but if your'e trying to getting some thing out his hair when he's dry I mean we would not really brush the curly hair when its dry because it will just naturally go frizzy unless that what you are aiming for If were
00:06:23: going
00:06:24: with disco hares and things like.
00:06:27: But again, that's not always very rarely.
00:06:29: That's the required end result.
00:06:33: but I would always use a specific type of brush which isn't going to break or damage their hair so something that will be kind on the actual texture.
00:06:48: When you come to shampoo your hair and then go into conditioning a like, really good quality wide tooth comb.
00:07:03: Try not to use something plastic that would be flimsy or could sort of break anything because it won't help their hair.
00:07:12: try and find something which is slightly better quality.
00:07:17: It makes them much easier.
00:07:18: then obviously detangle the hair
00:07:22: So... Is curly hair more prone to breakage when it's wet or dry?
00:07:30: When its
00:07:31: dry.
00:07:32: And is this the one myth that I always hear, when hair is really breakable and what?
00:07:42: It depends on...it was a good question because again there are wide questions as well with a wide topic.
00:07:49: but depending upon your situation we would always if i were working was very textured, we would always dampen the hair and moisturize their hair before you'd even put a comb or anything near there.
00:08:05: Yeah because if you were to go in that's where you'll get breakage right?
00:08:09: If it's a curl of slightly more than an S-curl then yeah You could probably going.
00:08:18: It's probably a little bit stronger In terms of what it can take.
00:08:22: And then, you know and obviously but a lot of it's down to tension.
00:08:25: It's common sense I think if you're doing at home yourself You'll realize that when the hair is telling you not to pull any harder because you start to feel breaking Mm-hmm
00:08:34: But either way as a little bit of slip they never hurt nobody.
00:08:38: so yeah That's what you need?
00:08:40: That's What you're actually trying to do.
00:08:41: mean
00:08:41: a lot Of girls i love you know depends on who i'm working with.
00:08:45: A lot of girls from very young age have had been probably tortured by their mother especially, or an older sister who's maybe been doing the hair.
00:08:55: I don't know if you've been in that situation as a young girl where you become your tenacity to pain which is great thing sometimes for me because it allows braiding and things like girls tend to sort of they're used.
00:09:11: That's not saying I torture people by any means when i'm doing their hair.
00:09:15: And
00:09:16: also, it is so good that you say this because now there have been generations of women with curly hair who had just tortured by whoever mother or sister auntie was doing her hair and most the time has to go fast When your braiding like textured hair then sit still.
00:09:40: But I feel like there's this new found, not a newfound but this tenderness that is so present even with the detangling process.
00:09:51: That people are taking their
00:09:53: time
00:09:54: and they're like no i don't want to break your hair!
00:09:57: I don't wanna hurt you
00:09:58: which I think it's brilliant thing right?
00:10:00: And I think thats all down to education... Right.. ...and products have become more sophisticated and really developed.
00:10:07: it can help the detangling process.
00:10:11: That married with great education, whether through a professional hairdresser or something that you see on social media... We've got wide way of consuming education in information now so there's no excuse not to learn these things.
00:10:26: I'll say this thing is another great thing too.
00:10:28: obviously we have things like this podcast where these sort of secrets, if you like.
00:10:34: So detangling for you preferably in the conditioning stage?
00:10:41: Always
00:10:41: on the condition... Nine times out of ten.
00:10:43: it depends what situation I'm in.
00:10:45: If i'm backstage at a fashion show and can't shampoo hair or anything like that then we'll wet our hair down.
00:10:51: We will spray not completely wet but just add moisture to it And than we would work with some kind of conditioning spray or moisturising spray To help de-tangle your hair.
00:11:01: But I think products that tend to be more cream-based, oils creams anything slightly thicker will help control the hair and allow you get rid of things like frizz.
00:11:18: There's lots of tips and tricks to really getting a beautiful curl in your hair or a beautiful coil without having use heat.
00:11:27: so there are You can work towards when you're doing this type of hair.
00:11:34: So, you just dropped something that's really important here I think and that is definition.
00:11:40: the frizz.
00:11:41: keeping The Frizz at bay...the definition..I think there was a time where people were like obsessed with definition, right?
00:11:49: And there are specific ways or multiple ways to achieve that.
00:11:53: But I also think and we're going to talk about how do you achieve it?
00:11:56: but i Also thing There is a really interesting move away from like this obsession with definitions.
00:12:03: Right the perfect curl The perfect coil?
00:12:06: How does It sit?
00:12:06: ?I feel Like We're starting To embrace That natural movement of hair.
00:12:13: Going back to Definition Well,
00:12:17: definition is an interesting one because again I think it's that thing of understanding.
00:12:25: if you want the cuticle to sit flat against your hair shaft.
00:12:31: Now becomes more increasingly difficult than coilyer their hair become.
00:12:35: but what really helps you do this is add some type product and comb or use a quite white tooth brush.
00:12:46: That will coat the hair shaft and you can do it a number of ways.
00:12:51: You could comb the product through, or either wrap around your finger and re-coil their hair... Or loosely brush them to let the product run until the end so that they naturally come back in.
00:13:04: Maybe just encourage with your palm of hand to lock into information when its still very wet.
00:13:12: but you must coat the head shaft!
00:13:14: And that's if you want the definition.
00:13:20: If I was watching again, your hairstylist earlier doing her hair where it is more nuanced to your hair and then you've got natural... So I watched her wrap around her finger a little bit and braid certain sections to control moisture content.
00:13:37: obviously so there are lots of techniques in ways like this.
00:13:42: but if It's super important to make sure that product, and right from the root of their hair as well.
00:13:50: Do not point just doing it at the very bottom because your natural frizz at the base of the hair... As they're hairdryes will just expand eventually.
00:13:59: pop through the overall hairstyle Right.
00:14:01: so in order you get that definition what product would use?
00:14:06: Because I think like The go-to is a gel.
00:14:11: I think there is gels out there.
00:14:13: But, to be honest with you... ...I very rarely use gel on curly hair.
00:14:18: Can we
00:14:19: tell something?
00:14:19: Yeah!
00:14:20: I don't even like
00:14:22: gels.
00:14:23: I have a thing about hair feeling crispy.
00:14:26: Like me too!
00:14:30: Especially for what i do in the sort of session world.
00:14:33: If was make their hair look like that one set with photographer they probably wouldn't book again.
00:14:40: they want hair to look real and nuanced, and to feel beautiful.
00:14:44: So actually let me rephrase that if you want that crispy curl... And there is that trend a lot of girls wanting it to look wet looking.
00:14:52: That's not a bad thing either.
00:14:54: Let me put that out there because I think whatever makes you feel good do.
00:14:59: But for me i wouldn't use a gel as such.
00:15:03: There are lots really great gels on the market But I wouldn't necessarily use a gel.
00:15:11: It's my go-to swear by... And again, it depends on the curl versus the coil.
00:15:16: but i would go in with something conditioning that will coat their hair and weigh down then also have an alcohol content which tends to be a mousse.
00:15:28: People always say avoid alcohol with curly hair.
00:15:31: Isn't
00:15:33: this going?
00:15:34: try out?
00:15:35: where we're sitting in?
00:15:36: the spectrum of curl versus coil, it's wide.
00:15:41: The minute I would go into more textured hair and i don't want to get into this sort of science or getting to technical elements.
00:15:49: but as their hair becomes way more zigzaggy you have that very springy texture.
00:15:56: then avoid using alcohol products because again goes back saying your natural oil doesn't those that textured
00:16:05: hair
00:16:06: absolutely needs to be, you need to mimic the moisturising by adding cream or oils or whatever it is.
00:16:14: To really help shine and nourish their hair.
00:16:19: but a great tip is to add some and again.
00:16:22: going back to my mousse product.
00:16:26: I love mousse, and maybe it's because of the start of the eighties and mousse was our big thing but he never left me!
00:16:32: It needs go-to things... But i'm a mousse mixed with um yeah like an even conditioner or a serum or oil together as brilliant gives you beautiful finish on their hair And its up to you.
00:16:45: then if use alot than will give your more defined slightly, not wet-looking curl but a much more considered hairstyle.
00:16:55: Gotcha!
00:16:55: The less you use as the hair dries...the more of your natural nuance will come into their hair and they'll feel a bit more real looking.
00:17:05: if that makes sense?
00:17:07: I know exactly what you mean.
00:17:08: so it's interesting because people usually would use gel to kind of like cement shape or what you used to use.
00:17:18: You have a really interesting expression.
00:17:21: Well, I call it nailing the hair to their head.
00:17:24: Yeah and you lock in the information right?
00:17:27: Okay so let me say that
00:17:28: again Locking It In.
00:17:29: Right
00:17:30: You people will use a gel to lock-in as you would say The Information And then once its dry and the information is locked in and the curl's almost like cemented They Would Then Go In the serum or oil and
00:17:48: break it up.
00:17:51: It's not that crunchy but I don't like that step.
00:17:54: so me personally, i go right into cream
00:18:01: because you're hair is telling... going back to what was saying about nourishing your hair those creams are really mimicking your natural hair oil.
00:18:14: It's fighting to get through from the roots, it can't because he gets past a certain point and so the mid-band of you head or middle ends right down till end will stay much more drier.
00:18:26: So that is where we really need to add the creams in order to help nourish their hair.
00:18:30: conditioning
00:18:31: I am... You said there are ways in achieving this definition one of them almost like finger waving.
00:18:38: I admire people who can do that to every little strand of their hair, because i don't have the patience
00:18:45: for it.
00:18:46: The one thing we'll say here is again a lot of this stuff is time consuming and if you've got time on your hand or want to really make the effort... And the good things as well are.. If you spend some time in particular style.... That style will last!
00:19:02: You sleep with it ,you go into bed you know, silk scarf or you can have a silk pillow and your hair will stay in pretty good shape.
00:19:12: I mean there's lots of special things that you can do to kind of keep your hair feeling good And it'll last longer The less You Do To It.
00:19:22: the Less That Information Is Locked.
00:19:25: So Natural Elasticity A natural nuance.
00:19:28: Your Natural Textures Your Natural Beautiful Little Frizzes Which i really love which i Love.
00:19:33: i love frizz i love that natural I don't know, but it's what he wants for me.
00:19:39: And yeah dial that stuff up and keep it and work with them.
00:19:44: That is a very personal thing sometimes to people.
00:19:48: So in order lock-in whatever information you gave your hair do you prefer heat or air drying?
00:19:59: Do you prefer diffuser preferred method of... If
00:20:05: you let the hair dry from wet to dry naturally, You would probably end up with a more perfect result.
00:20:12: The thing is that what most people do ...the general public versus going into even hairdressers professional hairdresser in the salon they agitate their hair.
00:20:24: so once They've spent all this time locking In the information if you like With the products and cream or mousse whatever they're working with They'll then go in and sometimes agitate, they will start moving their hair.
00:20:37: You've got to let the head drive really not play around with it too much and let the heat of the diffuser slowly on a very fast high-heat either.
00:20:47: It's kind of opposite.
00:20:49: if anybody tuned into our styling when we talked about this is the opposite.
00:20:55: this is a slow process that takes time and if you go in too high with the heat early on, the frizz will come.
00:21:02: So you've got to slowly introduce the heat and warm their hair up... And then as they start to set once that's said Then You can Start to loosen the texture and be little bit more heavy-handed If you like.
00:21:14: Early On!
00:21:15: You have gotta Be very delicate and treat it With the utmost respect.
00:21:21: Okay If you don't manipulate it during the drying process, right?
00:21:31: How do you get volume in?
00:21:34: because... Good question.
00:21:37: Because I dry it and then sometimes i have to go with my fingers but just so it stands a little bit has more volume.
00:21:46: The tip like that situation is when your hair's still damp or the hair because you still think of it as setting their hair, whether they're straight or curly.
00:21:59: Or whatever texture might be your going from wet to dry and You need To Yeah create that sort of process with where there's product?
00:22:09: Oh or you're controlling the hell wherever It might Be.
00:22:11: but once the hairs dry And not again I keep Going back to The same thing.
00:22:15: the information is locked in Then Is then you can start to loosen Again, it's that thing of just putting you up like I was watching your do.
00:22:25: You were mimicking with your hands there where you'll put Your hand at the roots or they're here
00:22:30: Or you can
00:22:30: use a comb to loosen some other product and open It Up And The more you Do That?
00:22:36: I mean you've got To be careful because obviously you don't want to do them the ends in the middle end Because you will get that frizz.
00:22:41: but if you go In Towards the Roots Of Their Hair Your hair Will start to expand.
00:22:45: then that volume We'll Start.
00:22:47: Come Back Into There.
00:22:48: What about
00:22:48: over see?
00:22:49: I also
00:22:50: think all of that stuff.
00:22:51: i think absolutely.
00:22:52: if you give, when you're doing it yourself.
00:22:54: You've got the bucey.
00:22:55: nobody's looking at.
00:22:56: you can put your head upside down ,you could put it behind right to the side.
00:23:00: .I would recommend always doing that anyway.
00:23:02: yeah..i think its a great thing because you know, round the three-sixty of your head if you like from front to sides and really
00:23:11: doing the whole like
00:23:12: slipping.
00:23:12: What flipping is a great thing?
00:23:15: A great tip is not to leave... Don't concentrate that heat on one place for ten minutes then move it another bit.
00:23:23: Keep moving the diffuser.
00:23:25: If you're doing with a diffuser keep moving around their heads.
00:23:28: I don't think this was an other question but i think its'a good tip.
00:23:32: what's?
00:23:35: Not so much the people with curls, but people who are inexperienced with either cutting or styling curls get wrong.
00:23:46: You have to find somebody.
00:23:47: you know how... Again when I first started doing hair we were about embracing and there's a lot of perming went on in the eighties.
00:23:58: So curl was big thing.
00:24:00: whether their hair straightened perm to go curly.
00:24:02: So you learned how to work and manipulate with curl.
00:24:05: And you also were taught the discipline of being able to cut a curl in its much more free estate, so your working with natural fall over hair.
00:24:18: You would maybe slightly unbuckle their hair... Well, unbuckles are word.
00:24:25: not everybody uses detangle.
00:24:27: sorry!
00:24:28: What did you just call
00:24:29: it?
00:24:29: Unbuckle.
00:24:29: It's like a buckle on the belt, you'll unbuckle their hair.
00:24:31: they might have little buckles Right.
00:24:32: You'd unbuckle your hair.
00:24:34: I'm sorry i've got terrible words sometimes that would only mean something to me um or maybe my team but yes.
00:24:41: But anyway if you get rid of and then cut the hair dry To see what shape is doing If you want it slightly shorter in front so you wanted to lift the length Once you've done all of that and then go in to wash the hair, style it.
00:25:00: But I would always nine times out ten cut hair from a certain level of curl... ...to very coily hair.
00:25:11: I'd probably do this when my hair is dry.
00:25:13: Always!
00:25:14: I think it takes a lot of confidence and actually, a lot experience to cut curly hair wet because it changes as it dries.
00:25:25: If they really know you inside out and have been going for them for long time... They can cut when its wet!
00:25:34: Your hairdresser will do
00:25:35: that
00:25:36: And i'll do with some clients who still do.
00:25:42: But I would suggest if you're going to somebody for the first time and they've never seen you before Yeah, i think it's that thing of being able get them to work on the hair when it's dry.
00:25:56: If they go in, if their hair is dry They'll probably know what they're doing
00:25:59: Right right?
00:26:00: so I feel like with me because i wear it curly most of the time.
00:26:06: But then you
00:26:07: also blow
00:26:07: out yes?
00:26:08: Yes!
00:26:08: Like the occasional straight-hair moment.
00:26:10: and
00:26:10: I think cutting your hair When its dry will give You that opportunity To be able to wear The head naturally curly And you Know where he's gonna shrink right?
00:26:19: It shrinks right.
00:26:20: face it it shrinks.
00:26:22: But then if you were to go through the hair when it was wet and then you would know You could also maybe go over the pattern a little bit or other way that you cut their hair To also visualize what it'd be like.
00:26:32: If you blew the hair out, right?
00:26:34: So there's two things that you have to consider.
00:26:36: so its quite complex.
00:26:37: It's not straightforward now.
00:26:38: That's why I have to invest in a good quality hairdresser.
00:26:42: Yeah that understands how to work with both, probably.
00:26:45: Shout out to my girl!
00:26:46: There you
00:26:47: go.
00:26:47: Shoutout to My Girl... Been going to her for years and we've done all kinds of like hair lengths as well.
00:26:54: she cut my hair from really long to short I think twice at this point or three times even?
00:27:01: And i'm playing with the thought of going short again..
00:27:05: The thing is you got your most incredible face so whatever will work can you
00:27:09: come back?
00:27:09: no
00:27:10: i'm not just saying that because we're here today but it's absolutely and I
00:27:13: think I would love anyway, any way.
00:27:15: But... Because I feel like also curly short hair is.. Also It takes up quite some time right?
00:27:25: You know
00:27:26: how to behave And you've got enough to manipulate it and work with the certain products To allow me to control.
00:27:31: So it's not straightforward.
00:27:32: And I think again, yeah you need to really understand how that works?
00:27:37: It depends if the hair goes past a certain point of length and becomes more what i call stationary You shake your head and doesn't move.
00:27:45: Then its much... Its more about sculpting their hair into shape If you think from that perspective is different angle like coming out But once they are passed a certain length where S-curl versus coil and zigzag curl.
00:28:07: You know, because you as well I do can have very long textured hair but it shrinks a lot.
00:28:13: when you comb out or straighten that hair becomes super long so it shrink quite heavily.
00:28:19: So yeah i think its important to understand that when he gets to certain point It shrinks And become more stationary into the head.
00:28:28: Just educate yourself in those areas.
00:28:30: What do you think are the top three products, tools could be actual product that curly people should invest in?
00:28:42: I think it all starts with how shampoo and conditioner hair.
00:28:48: You've got to have something which will heavily nourish their hair.
00:28:52: remember that oil's fighting your natural sebum, the oil comes from the scalp is fighting to get through.
00:28:58: It's much easier when it goes down a straight hair.
00:29:00: And
00:29:00: just kind of like drips out?
00:29:01: That's
00:29:01: right!
00:29:02: Just literally...it works very easy for hair that's straighter but as their hair becomes more curly its different process.
00:29:11: so you need to use products that can mimic keep going back to word MIMIC but almost give the area that allows you to condition their hair.
00:29:25: I would use something always, anything that's sort of cream or oil-based... That's going coat your hair shaft and give it a shiny appearance and moisturising and healthy.
00:29:39: Another product which people don't usually use in curl is... Certainly when I'm styling hair behind it, maybe for a shoot or maybe your fashion show is a shine spray.
00:29:51: A spray to use at the end to really put over the surface of their hair and make that hair feel glossy.
00:29:57: And i think people are nervous about those products because they again can feel like making them feel too artificial Or too greasy.
00:30:09: So I would shampoo & conditioner super important, the moisturising element and then obviously a product that can allow you to work with the curl.
00:30:21: Would you diffuse hair or no?
00:30:24: A perfect scenario for me would be... To let their hair dry air-dry till it will be sixty or seventy percent dry And maybe finish it With a diffuser Or The opposite.
00:30:39: start the process with a diffuser, take that dampness off of hair and let it end part.
00:30:45: But if you go from wet to dry with a defuser You will always get some type Of natural frizz come back into their hair.
00:30:52: Yeah because It'll just be disturbed by the wind
00:30:56: By air, basically Even though diffusers are brilliant.
00:30:58: now There's so many amazing diffuser out there That you can use.
00:31:02: To allow me do I also used a sock diffuser which is Again, which more dries the surface of their hair and it really... It's like a mesh that sits over there.
00:31:12: Like a soft base that sits on your head right?
00:31:14: That is great.
00:31:15: you can buy them online anywhere And they are a great tip to use.
00:31:19: I mean You've got be careful not keep heat because they concentrate in one area.
00:31:24: But they're also good for drying if you've got a shorter hairstyle and want to just dry the surface again, locking that information in style.
00:31:32: That's a good tip to use!
00:31:35: And I know when you said let it air-dry... trying to get it there, just like sixty-seventy percent.
00:31:42: I know some of y'all were going.
00:31:44: this is gonna take me
00:31:45: three or five
00:31:46: business days!
00:31:48: You know
00:31:48: nobody has time for that.
00:31:49: but if you're willing... It's
00:31:51: a perfect scenario right?
00:31:53: If we've got the
00:31:54: time to do that absolutely yeah.. Yeah and maybe do at night before the weekend whatever and getting ready in few days.
00:32:02: A lot.
00:32:02: girls are bad boys.
00:32:04: people have curly hair out there.
00:32:06: um i know might be only washing their hair once per week because there's no need.
00:32:13: You don't need to, and hopefully if you've spent that time early on getting it looking great then it'll last!
00:32:18: Yeah... And we're just gonna put in a bun?
00:32:22: There ya go!
00:32:22: That what we are going do!
00:32:27: The amount of buns on Curly Girls come like day four or five
00:32:34: when you scrape those back and then...
00:32:36: You're just going like, okay this is what we are gonna do.
00:32:38: I need to get three
00:32:38: more days out of it!
00:32:39: Look i love the contrast.
00:32:41: yeah..I mean that's but....i live in a part of London where a lot of girls and i'm fascinated how you'll see their hair with kids friends or my daughter who go into school where they scrape it.
00:32:53: so you've got that beautifully nailed tight and there natural texture coming up.
00:32:57: I think that looks absolutely gorgeous right?
00:32:59: I can tell you loved it.
00:33:00: Yeah
00:33:01: i am big fan , i really love
00:33:04: And you know what?

00:33:45: Feel like that was really something that came from The Curly Community...
